Next Music is an independent music and entertainment company based in Johannesburg, South Africa founded in April 2005 by former Gallo Music Group CEO Charles Kühn along with RPM Records' ex-MD Paul De Klerk, and partners "The Next Step Advisors" and "Videovision". It is/was the exclusive licensee for several international labels such as Edel Music, Naxos, Eagle Rock, Apace Music, J.Albert, Thrive, Armada, ELAP and Kuys Leisure Group, with domestic signings including artists like Snotkop, Karin Hougaard, Nataniel, Elizma Theron, Qwathikazi, Eric M, Jonathan Crossley, and Riku Lätti. Label imprints include Transversus (World), Trend (Dance), IN (Afrikaans), and Next Vision (DVD products). Next Music is also the African partner to Sony's The Orchard, allowing several South African labels access to the world's digital market.
