Goldies 45
Настоящее имя: Goldies 45
Goldies 45 was the reissue imprint for ABC Records that was in use from 1972 until the company was bought by MCA and closed in 1979.
It was used on 45 RPM single reissues of ABC's own back catalog as well as those of Roulette (which ironically included ABC-Dunhill recordings on its own Golden Goodies reissue series from 1969 until 1972), White Whale, Vee Jay, Fraternity, Hunt, Del-Fi and numerous others.
After ABC Records was shut down in 1979, MCA incorporated the more popular ABC, Dunhill, Dot, Blue Thumb and Duke/Peacock Records/Back Beat (2) Goldies 45 titles into its own 60000 series reissue 45s; the most popular of these now appear with Collectables labels (navy blue with the MCA Special Products logo).
Note: Early pressings (the 1500 series issues from 1972-73) include a small ABC Dunhill logo above the Goldies 45 name (rendered in a different font than the more commonly seen second logo used from 1974 until 1979).
It is the successor to the earlier ABC Paramount-era ABC Treasure Chest reissue series used from 1965 to about 1969, when the company leased its old single masters to Roulette.
It was also used by Probe in the UK for ABC Dunhill-related reissue singles.
