Pick Of The Pops (2)

This Series by Deacon Records was launched in 1970 and run till late 1971. Only the Volumes 1, 4,5,6,7,8 are known. One further edition appeared 1972 on the successor label Windmill (3). There after the series was renamed to Parade Of Pops. The prototype for this covered hit-collections by unknown artists was obviously the Top Of The Pops (3) series. Even the cheese cake front covers, the basic style of the rear and the liners were imitated. Some of the Pick Of The Pops releases are known to be released also with a different Gallery Stereo label design, that should be denoted together with the slightly different cat# from the labels.
