Proton (3)
Настоящее имя: Proton (3)
Norwegian record manufacturer, owned by Proton AS.
After WW2, in 1947, it was decided by the Norwegian government, via the Directorate For Enemy Property, to buy out and nationalise all enemy (German) property. The Norwegian branches of Siemens, AEG, and Telefunken were bought and turned into Proton AS, EGA, and A/S Nera, respectively.
In 1960, the Norwegian parliament (Stortinget) allowed for the sale of Proton AS back to Siemens, which led to a name change in 1962 from Proton AS to Siemens Norge AS.
The name "Proton" will often be found on Norwegian records, by various labels, in that short time period of about 15 years, meaning they were manufactured by Proton.
Labels includes Brunswick, Coral and Polydor.
