Data Terminal Systems Records

Label started by Tony Barber in 1987. Kaleidoscope Sound,was started together with Joe Foster in 1986,as a result of Barber's association with bands My Bloody Valentine and I, Ludicrous,who played regularly at his club 'The Sonic Skyscraper' in Chalk Farm,London, and Fosters production background as well as a founder of and A&R for Creation Records. Barber left to start DTS and Foster carried on KS. Data Terminal Systems was meant to be a sister label to KS,but only lasted 3 releases,as Barber joined the band Boys Wonder and couldn't devote any time to running a club and a label. 30 years later,after sales of around 300, Ear Trumpet's LP is on the way to becoming a cult classic.
