Omroep Limburg
Настоящее имя: Omroep Limburg
Public radiostation servicing the province of Limburg, the Netherlands. As January 2, 1988 it was the successor of the Regionale Omroep Zuid (ROZ).
Shortly before Omroep Limburg was about to get into tv broadcasting, in january 1997 a commercial tv station entered the Limburg regional market: TV8 Limburg. For a shortwhile both stations broadcasted next to each other on the Limburg cable network, both on the same channel but separated by a 30 minute 'blackout'. Eventually this situation was resolved when companies entered into a public/private partnership creating "L1 Radio en Televisie" which started broadcasting under that name on June 2, 1999. As of this moment of writing however Omroep Limburg still holds the broadcasting license and L1 rents both the studio buildings and equipment from Omroep Limburg.
