Guild Records (2)

A metropolitan New York record company incorporated in Connecticut in Spring 1945. Guild was originally part of the American Glossite Company, then operated and pressed records independently through December 1945. In the beginning of 1946, the company was acquired as a wholly-owned subsidiary of Jefferson-Travis Corporation, the owner of Musicraft Records, Inc., who adopted the latter's name following the sale of the J-T brand to Emerson in mid 1946.
