Strässle Söhne + Co.

In Kirchberg in Toggenburg/Switzerland, the master saddler Gottlieb Strässle opened a saddler, upholstery and wagon construction business in 1886 after many years of apprenticeship and traveling. His son, who trained as an interior decorator in Nice, took over his father's business in 1929. In the same year he showed his first contemporary collection of upholstered furniture at the Swiss sample fair in Basel. In 1930 his brother Alois also joined. In 2005 the company took over production and trade from Fleig Möbel AG, Wigoltingen, and relocated the company headquarters to Wigoltingen.
