Zon-o-phone Record

For the British label, please use Zonophone Record. First Zonophone label. Registered in 1898 as a trademark for bootleg Emile Berliner gramophones manufactured by Universal Talking Machine Co., the first Zon-O-Phone Record discs were pressed in late 1900 or early 1901. It was briefly replaced with Universal Zonophone Record between mid 1903 and mid 1904. Spanish and Latin American releases were pressed under variant Disco Zonofono (2). Zon-O-Phone Record remained active as a label until 1912, when Universal Talking Machine went defunct.
