Ultradisc II

Series from Mobile Fidelity Sound Lab that were released between September 1992-November 1999 and re-activated again between September 2003-August 2013. All Ultradisc II releases were pressed in the USA using 24 karat gold compact discs, except for Blues In Orbit which was a non-gold hybrid SACD and pressed in Europe. The first UDII-only release was A Night At The Opera and the last was 6260074. From Mofi's website: "As a natural outgrowth of onoing research, in September of 1992 Mobile Fidelity Sound Lab launched Ultradisc II, a new and improved Ultradisc formulation which boasts an advanced bonding process as well as a thicker gold coating."
