Use for manufacturing and other credits for records on Admiral (6).
U.S. record company that was launched in November, 1949 by "Admiral" Nicholas R. (Nick) Carrano. Admiral (6) was primarily a pop and light-jazz label with an artist roster that included Russ Vincent, Johnny Guarnieri and bands fronted by Raymond Scott and Mitchell Ayres. The company changed its name to Adam Records, Inc. (and changed its label to Adam (8)) in November, 1950. This name change came at the request of the Admiral Corporation, a long-established manufacturer of electronic goods. Carrano phased out Adam Records over the course of 1951.
