MAX is an Australian music channel formerly known as musicMAX prior to 14 March 2004. Since May 2012 the channel is owned by Foxtel Networks after Foxtel merged with Austar, resulting in Foxtel gaining Austar's shares in XYZnetworks (which Foxtel closed and created Foxtel Networks)
