Completed in 1964, this legendary Recording Studio next to the also legendary RCA Studio B in Nashville, was the brainchild of Music Row luminaries Chet Atkins and Owen Bradley. Several country artists of the 1960s and 1970s recorded hits there including Dolly Parton, Willie Nelson and Charley Pride.
Pop/rock artist Ben Folds had managed the studio for more than a decade, turning over the studio operations to Nashville producer Dave Cobb in early 2016. Under Cobb's direction, top country artists Chris Stapleton and Jason Isbell have undertaken projects there.
It is located on 17th Avenue South (called Music Square West within the Music Row area), and is considered to be in the heart of Nashville's entertainment industry.
