Heartbeat Records (11)

Independent label based in and working with San Diego, Ca area artists including Tina Jackson, Calvin Baugh (Romance), Le Ronn (Ron Thatch). The label was funded by a prominent professional athlete. Music producer/executive George Semper, was part of production and management team, and Heartbeat released several of the same artists as Mojo Records ( Jimmy Smith's record label) where Semper was also a part of the labels management team. Noteworthy is that the labels Mojo artists participated in production and writing for one another. The label had one formal release and ceased operation in 1989. Several of the labels recordings remain unreleased.
