In 1995 EMI increased its stake in the company to 51% and effective Jan 1st 1996, the company was renamed to EMI-Kent Elektronik San. Ve Tic. A.Ş..
Album released on CD had the code 100XXX 2 (local releases), but the code for cassette tapes are different, which is TCP XXXX (until 1989) and AIE XXX, for foreign and local album releases, respectively. The album code on CD would continue through EMI-Kent, although the barcode used has been changed to the same as EMI from the original barcode of 8 691284 XXXXXX (the last six digits represents the album code, format, such as 2 for CD and 4 for cassettes and check digit).
