Schallplattenfabrik Wädenswil

Former Swiss shellac records manufacturing plant situated in the City of Wädenswil at Lake Zürichsee, Switzerland. Founded in July 1926 by Kalophon Record S.A. using the building of a former weaving utensils factory. Taken over by Turicaphon AG in 1933 and production activities finally relocated to Schallplattenfabrik Riedikon in 1937 or 1945. The plant building was subsequently used by a tension elements manufacturer. In 1986, the property was acquired by the community of Wädenswil.
