De Tagrijn

Former youth center with podium. Located in Hilversum, Holland. Built as St. Joseph Catholic School (RK St. Josephschool). Architect: H. Nieuwenhuyzen 1919. Since 1976, youth center Tagrijn (is a merger of the youth centers "Utopia" and "de Fietsenstalling"). In the 90s of the last century it was more of a cultural (pop) function. In 2004 the city council of Hilversum decided to demolition and new construction. Closure of The Tagrijn on June 1st, 2006. Demolition starts in February 2007. On the night of 24th on March 25th, 2007 the property illuminates by arson completely. In this place a new theater is built: "De Vorstin"
