Le Disque

Label founded in 1949 by Pierre Meyzenc was first called "Le Disque" and later renamed to Agorila, being its predecessor. Catalogue numbers being of the pattern PM 45-## (for 45 rpm Singles and EPs) or PM 33-## (for 33 rpm LPs) were taken over by Agorila and continued until the early 1970's. PM in cat.no was sometimes also written as P. M., both being abbreviations for Pierre Meyzenc. The label was concentrated on publications of spiritual music from the pilgrims city of Lourdes in southwestern France and continued this on Agorila-label. On that label, the products were extended to children's music and to Basque publictions. Successor label Agorila is still active and is currently run by the son of Pierre Meyzenc, Manex Meyzenc.
