Bar, night club, stage, located in Bergen, Norway. Opened in 1988. Closed in 2018. Capacity 330. Opened in 1988. Now a renowned rock club and a vibrant melting pot and meeting place for musicians and music interested people. In 1990, as Norwegian black metal was starting to gain followers, Garage played host to all of the most important bands, and bands like Darkthrone, Mayhem and Immortal played several times. Barbie Bones, pogo pops, kaizers orchestra, Enslaved and Audrey Horne have all donated their Norwegian music awards (Spellemannsprisen) to Garage. They are being used as door handles. In 2017 Christiesgate 14 was released to support the daily operation of the bar/venue, but, alas, the venue closed it's doors in late September 2018.
