Reichstag, Berlin

Building in Berlin, Germany. Built to house the "Imperial Diet" of the former German Empire in 1894, until fire virtually destroyed it in 1933. During the Cold War, the building remained unused until re-unification in 1990. A dome was added and since 1999, the renovated building has been used to hold the German parliament, The Bundestag. The area in front of the Reichstag has been used as a concert venue by Michael Jackson, Tangerine Dream, Barclay James Harvest and others.
