Also appears as "Radio France internationale" or subtitled "Coopération Internationale". Radio France internationale (RFI) is a French public radio service. RFI was the third most listened radio station behind BBC World Service and Voice of America with around 46 millions of listeners in 2007. Founded on January 6, 1975 as part of French national broadcasting service "Radio-France", RFI is now a full subsidiary of "Société de l'audiovisuel extérieur de la France", the holding in charge of all French public radio and television services.
