L'Automàtica
Настоящее имя: L'Automàtica
L’Automàtica is a small run publishing house, established in 2011 by a collective of graphic designers and artists, who rescued an old letterpress printshop in Barcelona and turned it into a self-managed cultural association, with the original owner as a machinist, tutor and mentor. Originally the printshop on Carrer d’en Grassot 89 in Barcelona was opened by José Fandos in 1963, later it was directed by Ferrán Fandos. Nowadays L’Automàtica is equipped with 2 Heidelberg windmill platen-presses, a semi-automatic Ibérica platen press, a Universal Ibérica multi-finishing machine, Heidelberg GTO 52 and TOK offset printers.
Collective is formed by ten people, who produce all materials and hold various workshops on traditional letterpress printmaking, as well as other specials events and collaborations with universities and education institutions.
