Sounds Of The Steam Age

A series name used by Argo Transacord and the later ASV Transacord to group recordings of steam engines. Argo Transacord Releases made reference to the series name by way of a text note on the lower right of the rear sleeve. ASV Transacord Releases made use of the logo shown, on the front and rear of the sleeve. The ASV Transacord website states that this was a series of 37 LP's issued between June 1981 and 1989, Most of the LP's were also available as Cassettes. Several are said to be re-releases of earlier Argo Transacord The World Of Railways series.
