New York, NY-based budget label, active in 1949. President Charles Merenstein registered the Spotlite trademark in January 1949. On April 9, general manager Frank Marks announced a price reduction from 44 to 37 cents per disc. In July 1949, Marks resigned and was replaced by Bess Berman, president of Apollo and Merenstein's mother-in-law.
