ZVC

The name ZVC is the short form for Zu Viel Cassetten, an indirect hommage to Alfred Hilsberg's legendary Zick Zack Label whose most popular slogan in his heydays was 'Besser zu viel als zu wenig' (Better too much than too less). ZVC hailed from Würzburg, Germany and was strongly associated with the 'Oi Oi Oi!' Fanzine which had nothing to do with Oi! Music and got renamed into 10.15 Magazine and finally in 10.16 Megazine before it declined. Out of these beginnings Klappstuhl Records evolved in 1986/1987 with a more international and less local orientated approach.
