The University Of Michigan

The University of Michigan is an American public research university located in Ann Arbor, Michigan. Originally founded in 1817 in Detroit as the University of Michigania, 20 years before the Michigan Territory officially became a state, UM is the state's oldest university. It was relocated to Ann Arbor in 1837.
