ZIV International

The ZIV International label was owned by the parent company of the same name, which was founded in 1971 by Irv Hollander and Mark Ziv. ZIV International, Inc. (parent) was a prolific licenser, publisher, and distributor of film and television properties, which later included music publishing, licensing, and distribution. Its catalog was sold to Lorimar Productions in 1982, by owner Irv Hollender, who acted as COO of ZIV/Lorimar until 1984. It should be noted that ZIV International was an independent entity, and that it was was never associated with Ziv Television Programs. The latter, similarly named entity was a syndication rights company, founded in 1948 and purchased by United Artists in 1960.
