Belmont College

Beginning in 1890 as Belmont College for Young Women, now is a private, four-year University, bringing together the best of liberal arts and professional education in a Christian community of learning and service for all students. In 1971, an Introduction to Music Business course was launched, based on a suggestion from music legend Roy Acuff, and the school’s music business program is born. Over 40 years later in 2015, Belmont opened its newest addition - a four-story, 116,000-square-foot Academic and Dining Complex that house a new Dining Hall, Media Studies Program and the Mike Curb College of Entertainment and Music Business.
