The RecorDisc Corp.

Now defunct company that specialized in producing record blanks for use in home recording in the 1940s and 1950s. Was owned and operated by the Gould-Moody company, which specialized in making professional quality blank records. Similar to Presto (4), The RecorDisc Corp. blanks were aluminum discs coated with cellulose nitrate lacquer, with generic labels that could be filled in by hand. Given this, the best format tag to use when entering these releases is Lathe Cut. Releases having this label were most likely home recordings or demos. Blanks were able to be recorded from either the outside-in or the inside-out.
