Schtung Music Singapore was originally opened in 1993 to service the increased advertising work coming out of Singapore at the time. Singapore was - and still is - a creative hub for many of the large, multinational agencies. Schtung Music also works with many agencies based in Jakarta, an hour's flight away. The company works with major agencies and production houses on original music, sound design, jingles, radio promos, and audio branding campaigns. It believes in the concept of "strategically relevant music" - music that is relevant to and enhances both the creative idea and the creative execution. It is involved in album production and remixes, having remixed the music of David Bowie, Human League, Spandau Ballet, and Mel C of the Spice Girls. Schtung Music has a pool of talented, cutting-edge composers whose musical styles range from classical to jazz, from drum n bass to trance, from electronica to rock n roll. Operating out of 22 Amoy Street in Singapore, Schtung Music also has officers in Hong Kong, Shanghai, and Santa Monica.
