Lack of Sleep (2)
Настоящее имя: Lack of Sleep (2)
In the Spring of 1999 Kelley Whiter began Lack of Sleep Records to give South Florida's growing music scene a new outlet. At that time, Kelley was an attorney for over nine years and practiced in Ft. Lauderdale with the well-respected national law firm, Greenberg Traurig. After graduating from Columbia Law School in 1990 and three years of practice at the Weil Gotshal & Manges law firm in New York City, she relocated to South Florida and became immersed in the local music scene. For two years in a row, Kelley was selected to Chair the Music and Recording Committee of the Entertainment, Arts & Sports Law Section of The Florida Bar and served as Program Chair and organizer of the October, 1999 Bar seminar, "Music in the Digital Age", held at the Harbor Beach Marriott in Ft. Lauderdale. Through her valuable experiences in the music industry, she realized that forming an independent label would be the perfect avenue for fostering and encouraging young local artists.
