Bridges Auditorium

Located on the campus of Pomona College in Claremont, California the auditorium was built in 1931 and opened in 1932. The auditorium serves as a memorial to the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Appleton Shaw Bridges who died while attending Pomona in 1907. Architect William Templeton Johnson designed the auditorium which is loosely based on the architecture of the Northern Italian Renaissance.
The Los Angeles Philharmonic Orchestra provided the college with an inaugural performance and has maintained a working relationship with Bridges Auditorium ever since.
