Aalborg Kunstmuseum

Danish modern art museum located in Aalborg. Inaugurated in 1972, the building is designed by Finnish architect Alvar Aalto in cooperation with his wife Elissa Aalto and Jean-Jacques Baruël. When the construction works begun in 1966, the East Park Jazz Club, Aalborg that had used a wooden barrack on the same grounds had to close down and never reopened. Since 2008 officially named Kunsten Museum of Modern Art Aalborg.
