Clef Records
Настоящее имя: Clef Records
An American Jazz record label founded by Norman Granz in 1946. He founded the Verve Records label in 1956 and absorbed Clef Records and his other label, Norgran Records into it. Verve rereleases and licenced releases of Clef recordings would for a while be tagged Clef Series.
For releases that came out on both Mercury and Clef, the original issue is always Mercury, with the Clef issues starting in 1953 when the licensing agreement with Mercury ended.
