1960s label from Springfield, Missouri.
Si Siman, vice-president of RadiOzark Enterprises, Inc. announced the formation of the Skipper label as a division of RadiOzark in Springfield, Missouri in October 1965. The label's main interest was the "Ozark sound" of both rock 'n' roll and country music. Artists initial signed with Skipper included Don Clements, Clint Harrison, David & The Boys Next Door, and Tonky Tomson with intial singles out October 1965. The label put out a handful of other releases before ending in 1966. The record label Scratch (3) bears the same Radio-TV Bldg. address and publisher and appears to be a related record label that ran from 1967-1968.
