Series of DJ mix albums named after Amsterdam's club "The iT". For the record label related to this club, go to iT Records. EVA (joint venture of EMI, Virgin and Ariola) started the series in 1994. The name "iT - The Album" was derived from other (musically totally unrelated) compilations EVA released successfully at that time: "She - The Album" and "He - The Album" (best of female and male vocalists). Vol. 1-3 were mixed by DJ Marcello. Vol. 4 was mixed by DJ Marcello and DJ Jean. Vol. 5-9 were mixed by DJ Jean. In 1997, EVA folded, and BMG Nederland took over the distribution. Vol. 10-12 were mixed by DJ Stephen. Vol. 10 has a bonus CD featuring the unmixed version of the best track of each previous iT album. Vol. 11 and 12 consist of two mixed CDs. The series ended at the close of the century.
