Erlkönig Schallplatten
Настоящее имя: Erlkönig Schallplatten
Erlkönig was originally a German independent label established by Jonas Porst of Ihre Kinder after Kuckuck stopped releasing rock records.
Label Code: LC 5529 / LC 05529
The original LP pressings 1975 to early 1978 were independently produced and distributed, and labels with a logo depicting the alder-tree spirit of German legend (the first few were yellow based labels, after which the design changed to full colour). Later (in 1978) Erlkönig was taken over by Intercord distribution and adopted a new blue label, with the name ERLKÖNIG largely under-wraps as if being presented anew. All the original LPs were reissued/repressed on the new Intercord distributed label. Later Erlkönig moved to Rockport Distribution with a similar label design to the Intercord one. Other Jonas Porst productions appeared sporadically since the 80s, and he revitalised the label in 2004 for CD reissues.
Although Erlkönig alone is generally the label brand and logo, Erlkönig Schallplatten is currently the correct name to use on Discogs, despite the word Schallplatten not appearing on original or later releases. https://www.discogs.com/forum/thread/709944
Erlkönig Schallplatten also is the officially registered label name in the GVL database.
