Bloc Beatz as a brand began in 2008 as an new innovative club night in Birmingham, UK aiming to bring to Britons second City a new style of music yet to be heard there along with some fresh young DJ talent and artists. Momentum gained quickly seeing the brand moving to bigger and better venues such as The Custard Factory, home of Gods Kitchen Air Nightclub, Rainbow Warehouse & Gatecrasher! As the reputation grew so did the headline acts to grace the Bloc Beatz DJ box, to name a few Miles Dyson, Gigi Barocco, Bass Kleph, Oliver Twizt, Loose Cannons, Aniki, Will Bailey, Lee Mortimer, Hijack and many more.. The brand and Bloc Beatz name grew and has now diversified into a record label making its first release in 2010. This was always a big ambition of the Bloc Beatz team to delve into the music industry further, now the label itself a growing business with submissions to the label & new releases coming thick and fast.
