In Germany, Chiesi took over the family doctor business of Asche AG in 2002 and changed his name to Asche Chiesi GmbH. Chiesi GmbH is a German pharmaceutical company based in Hamburg. It is a subsidiary of the Italian Chiesi Farmaceutici S.p.A. based in Parma, Italy.
