Crouse College, Syracuse University
Настоящее имя: Crouse College, Syracuse University
Crouse College of Fine Arts is a Romanesque Revival historical building at the Syracuse campus, dedicated in 1889. Established as the John Crouse Memorial College for Women, the construction was sponsored by a banker and businessman John Crouse, Syracuse University trustee since 1870, who dedicated the building to his late wife. Mr. Crouse passed away prior to the building's completion, so the project was finished by his son, D. Edgar Crouse. The College housed a 700-seat auditorium with an organ. Originally built in 1889 by Frank Roosevelt, the instrument was rebuilt by Estey Organ Co. of Vermont (1924) and Walter Holtkamp (1950). The tower had 10 bells manufactured by Clinton Meneely Bell Company. Crouse College was placed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1974.
