Signature Recording Corporation

US Record company owned by Bob Thiele. It operated the Signature (4), Hi-Tone, Signature Hi-Tone, and Shelton labels. Originally the company was based in New York. Towards the end of the 1940s the company came into financial troubles, got new investments and moved from New York to Shelton, CT in 1947. This wasn't enough to turn things around. In 1951 the company's assets were auctioned off.
