Recording studio located in Bloomington, about 10 miles south of Minneapolis, Minnesota.
In the Spring of 1964, Dove Recording Studio was opened by Don Peterson and Darold Arvidson (“Arv”). Peter Steinberg was known for having worked there as a producer.
This was a recording and rehearsal studio, but the company Dove Recording Studios, Inc. also released a handful of singles at the time on their own label Dove (5), featuring a stylized, dove cameo image. The owners bought their first studio from David Hersk, at 6217 Lake Street in St. Louis Park. Dove closed its doors in early 1970, selling the equipment to Warren Kendrick, who started Audio City Recording Studios on East Lake Street.
