The Israel Broadcasting Service was the Israeli national public broadcaster, operating radio and television stations from 1951 until 1965. It was replaced by the Israel Broadcasting Authority in 1965 and later releases crediting the IBA should use that profile. The name Israel Broadcasting Service later became the transcription service of the Israel Broadcasting Authority's radio service Kol Israel. It provided programs on vinyl and tape for broadcast in other countries.
