German graphic design studio and advertising agency, based in Berlin, founded 1990. For artist credits please use: "Die Gestalten" History: 1990: Die Gestalten agency founded by Markus Hollmann-Loges, Andreas Peyerl and Robert Klanten. 1995: Die Gestalten Verlag GmbH publisher was founded together with Richard Elpers. In 2000, Die Gestalten began to design the artwork for several releases by the Frankfurt rock band Böhse Onkelz, directed by Markus Hollmann-Loges. In 2006 the agency was brought into the publishing house and the Die Gestalten Verlag GmbH & Co. KG was founded. 2009: Hollmann-Loges and Peyerl left the company to founded the agency "Blitzen" and Klanten ran the publishing house alone. Name meaning: The name provides insight into their philosophy: and "die gestalten" is a German double meaning both "the creatures" and "they create".
