Jecklin + Co. AG

Swiss record company and music store in Zurich. The company is based on the Jecklin Musikhaus, which was founded in Zurich in 1895. It soon became one of the most famous music suppliers in Switzerland. The company starts to be a host for concerts. In 1927, Jecklin becomes the Swiss representation for Steinway & Sons. Later, the company is expanded also to a store for records and audio electronics, it is host for musical competitions and founds a studio. Finally, in 1967, the first record appears on Jecklin Edition, a label for classical music. After years of expansion, the studio closes and the company is sold to tmbm.com SA in 2000. This state lasts for 2 years, in 2002 Jecklin appears again as independent retailer with concentration in sale of music products.
