Dutch chemist's shop chain, originally founded 1919 in Eindhoven as Philips Coöperatieve Verbruiksvereeniging en Broodbakkerij G.A, a discount food store for Philips employees. Changed name to Etos in 1931, evolving into a supermarket chain. Taken over in 1973 by Albert Heijn, last supermarket closed in 1992, continuing as a chemist's shop chain.
