Sound Tour

A series of 4 albums, with a 5th compilation album, made by Verve in association with Esquire Magazine. The 4-albums in the series were all consistently packaged with a unique gatefold design that opened out from the center. Each of the albums included an identical description in the upper center panel, the lower panel for each album shows how the instruments were recorded and the microphones used. The albums were all produced by Creed Taylor and the orchestra used included many of the artists that were, or would become staples of Taylors Jazz productions. Each album includes a booklet by Richard Joseph, Esquire's award-winning travel editor.
