F.L.V.M.

FLVM ("Faites Le Vous-Même", which means in english : "Do It Yourself") is not a label, although it appears as such on most releases they helped to produce. FLVM was a French company founded by Gratte-Ciel, acting as a collective who took in charge all the manufacturing of records self-produced by musicians who weren't signed to a record label. FLVM could negotiate the mastering, pressing and printing of your record with the same professional manufacturers as the major labels did, grouping the demand from many independent musicians and bands to get affordable prices. FLVM was not involved in recording and producing, nor in promoting and distributing records once manufactured. They had no artistic strategy, and just offered a service. For all these reasons, they were not a label.
