LTM (2)
Настоящее имя: LTM (2)
LTM, also known as Les Tontons M'Ecoutent, was established by George Karakos in 1978. The former BYG Records partner had previously run Tapioca who ran into difficulties and were shut down. In January 1979 Karakos launches his new company Celluloid at the MIDEM music media fair, and his LTM label for experimental music. A couple of LTM releases are reissues of Tapioca LPs and it is not uncommon to find LTM LPs inside Tapioca covers for very first pressings of Inédits or Gong Est Mort.
The address on most early releases is: 42, rue Monge 75005 Paris, although later during 1979 they moved to the new address: 18 rue de Palestine 75019 Paris, and those with this address (and later) all had Celluloid labels. LTM numbering ceased at the end of 1979.
Note: current decision on Discogs is to list "Les Tontons M'Ecoutent" as the label only on those releases that clearly say so. In all other cases use LTM (2).
