Bearsville Theatre

American music & theatre venue located in Bearsville, just outside of Woodstock, NY. Opened in 1989. Designed by architect John Storyk, construction on an old dutch barn on Albert Grossman's Bearsville properties began in 1984. Albert died in 1986, so the theatre was finished and opened in 1989 under the guidance of his widow, Sally Grossman. The facility has changed hands a few times and in 2019 British organic-food social entrepreneur and music lover Lizzie Vann purchased the property and named it Bearsville Center, with the theatre as the centrepiece.
